It will be a busy June at the Everhart Museum with artistic and educational events planned for children and adults.

Celebrate the beginning of summer with the Everhart during the Fourth Annual Summer Solstice Event on June 19 from 5 p.m. to midnight on the front lawn. Bid on a variety of items during the silent and live auctions and enjoy food, drink and music. The cost is $85 per person or $100 per person for a Patron Ticket and attendees must be 21 and older. Space is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door.

The Everhart Museum will host three musical groups on June 6 beginning at 1 p.m. Kofi and Sankofa, Tunescape and Jorge Cuevas and Caribe Jazz AllStars will perform during a day of music, dance and rhythm.  Each group will also host a youth workshop and a general audience demonstration, along with their musical performance. Activities and performances are free with paid admission to the Museum.

On Mondays in June, the Everhart will host “Early Explorers: Where Discovery meets Learning” from 1-1:45 p.m. Together with the Lackawanna County Children’s Library and area artists, the Everhart will offer free museum-based whole-child learning in the arts and sciences for children ages 3-5. Pre-registration is required and groups are welcome.
