Celebrate Yuengling’s 180th Anniversary

Celebrate the 180th anniversary of America’s Oldest Brewery, Pottsville’s own Yeungling Brewery at the Anthracite Heritage Museum, 22 Bald Mountain Rd., McDade Park, Scranton, on Friday, Oct. 9, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

It was 1829 when David G. Yuengling opened the Eagle Brewery (later to become Yuengling) on Centre Street in Pottsville. You can celebrate the anniversary with a tasting of seven Yuengling brews; a presentation on the history of Yuengling by author Mark Noon; chances to meet the Yuengling Girls and win 6-foot Yuengling bar mirror signed by Dick Yuengling.

Tours of the Anthracite Heritage Museum will also be offered.
