Lebanese Annual Festival

lebanese FestivalOn Sunday, September 14th, Saint Ann Maronite church on Price Street in Scranton held its annual Lebanese heritage festival. The Lebanese community came together to celebrate a yearly event.

Assorted goods were available during the festival – goods imported from Lebanon “The Country of the Cedars” and homemade food made locally in Scranton. Visitors had the opportunity to get introduced to the Lebanese culture and dance to folk Dabke music.  The festival is held annually on the second Sunday of September.

Lebanon is well known for the Mediterranean food including grape leaves stuffed with beef, kebbeh and famous Lebanese tabouleh.
