25+ More Resources for NEPA College Students

Here’s the second part of our series of resources for new and returning students at our local colleges. Today, the focus is on Wilkes University, King’s College, Misericorida University, East Stroudsburg University, Luzerne County Community College and the Penn State satellites. Wilkes University

  • Campus Map – The Wilkes interactive campus map allows you to click on each of the buildings and facilities for more information.
  • Radio – You can listen to the Wilkes student-run radio station WCLH online or connect with them on MySpace.
  • Newspaper – The Wilkes student newspaper, The Beacon, will fill you in on everything going on around campus. You can also check out archives of The Beacon; it’s an ongoing project but there’s still plenty to find here.

King’s College

  • Campus map – Print out a pdf version of the campus map to carry with you or tour the campus through a photo slideshow.
  • Dining – The King’s dining site has information on meal plans, menus, dining locations and resources to help you get a job with dining services for some extra spending money.
  • Radio – Follow the King’s student-run radio station WRKC online and shop for Radio King’s College merch.

Misericordia University

  • Campus map – Click your way across the Misericordia campus with an interactive campus map or print out the pdf version.
  • Newspaper – Browse Misericoridia’s student newspaper, The Highlander, online.
  • Radio – Listen to Cougar Radio streaming online for events and news from the Misericordia campus.
  • Social – Visit Misericordia’s unofficial MySpace page to connect with fellow Cougars.

East Stroudsburg University

  • Campus map – You’ll never be lost on campus with ESU’s pdf map.
  • Radio – The site of WESS, ESU’s student radio station, allows you to listen online or take a virtual tour of the studio.
  • Things to do – ESU’s Campus Activities Board maintains a site full of things to do on campus.
  • Sports – What better way to make new friends than head down in a scrum. Check out the ESU rugby site with men’s and women’s teams.

Luzerne County Community College

  • Campus Map – The LCCC pdf map shows all of the buildings and facilities on campus as well as parking areas. And a virtual tour allows you to explore the campus through photos.
  • Radio – Connect to the staff of the LCCC radio station WSFX through their MySpace page.

Penn State satellite campuses

The first set of resources for local college students covered the University of Scranton, Marywood University, Keystone College and Lackawanna College.
