Test Pattern – Steve Alexander “Echo Systems”

Located at 334 Adams Ave. Test Pattern gallery normally functions as an artistic arena for developing artists. This month the large crowds of art afficianados that visit the gallery will be treated to the presence of a well established artist. Steve Alexander, who is also represented in galleries in Texas and has been exhibited widely across the United States, serves to spurn the visibility of the burgeoning gallery forward. STAR Gallery – “15 Local Artists”

Join the members of STAR Gallery, Steamtown Artist’s Renaissance, 534 Lackawanna Avenue in Scranton for the grand opening of the gallery on Friday, June 2, 2006, 5:00-9:00 p.m., in conjunction with First Friday, a monthly event that has drawn crowds of art lovers to the downtown.

Formerly “The Gallery”, STAR symbolizes the continued revitalization of fine arts in Scranton’s downtown. The art of 15 local artists will be on display and for sale at the gallery and a variety of mediums will be represented. Art enthusiasts and collectors will find a selection of works to choose from including collage, oil, watercolor, acrylic, pottery, and jewelry. Musical entertainment will be provided by Shades of Blues. Selected items will also be raffled later in the evening.

Members of the gallery co-op have also announced business hours for the gallery. The gallery will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. or by appointment. For more information regarding the event or the gallery, please contact Joan Kujawa, 842-9908 or Simona Gavern, 344-3048.
